Alex is an in-demand audio engineer based out of New York City. As a talented mixer in both studio and live performance settings, his skillsets have brought him a lot of amazing experiences and he's proud to do this every day.
To begin gaining experience and knowledge, Alex attended and graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia in 2015 with a degree in Music Production and Recording Technology. This program provided him with a wide variety of experiences and education in areas including studio recording, live sound reinforcement, music production, audio restoration, and more.
Immediately after graduation, he moved to New York City to pursue his career as an engineer. He quickly found himself working as an intern (and later an engineer) for the Magic Shop Recording Studio, home to recording artists such as David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Arcade Fire, and more. He moved on with the studio when it closed to work as an audio archivist for the studio's new establishment, MARS, and archived music clients such as Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, Alan Lomax, and the Library of Congress. While doing studio work, Alex also was active in the live scene working at venues such as the Living Room, Bowery Ballroom, and taking freelance work with production companies on the side.
Currently, Alex frequently works out of his home studio where he operates all of his mixing, mastering, and restoration projects. In the live music scene, you can find him working in clubs like Elsewhere and more venues in NYC. You can also find him working on TV shows, doing one-offs for up-and-coming artists in NYC, or on tour with acts like the Wild 'N Out National Tour.
